Description
90% Silver Barber Quarters For Sale ($500 FV, Circulated)
The Barber Quarter was available from the United States Mint from 1892 to 1916. The design on the coin was created in 1891 by then–Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, Charles E. Barber. He created a singular bust of Liberty that was used on the dime, quarter, and half dollar during this period, with a reverse design that was unique on the dime and shared in the quarter and half-dollar issues. Right now, 90% Silver Barber Quarters are available to purchase online with a total face value of $500 (USD).

Each of the $500 Face Value bags of 90% Silver Barber Quarters you purchase in this Omega Bullion listing comes with a large plastic bag containing 2,000 US Quarters from the Barber Coinage timeframe. This means the date marks available on the coins will range from 1892 when the coins first went into production to 1916 when the US Mint began to switch the Standing Liberty design.
The 90% Silver Barber Quarters feature 90% silver content by weight with 10% copper. This was standard practice for the US Mint at the time to ensure that the coins were durable enough for use in circulation. Mint marks may be present on some of the coins in this series. Coins with a mint mark include those from the Denver, New Orleans, and San Francisco Mint, with the marks beneath the eagle on the reverse. Philadelphia Mint coins in this series do not have a date mark.
On the obverse face of 90% Silver Barber Quarters is the bust of Lady Liberty created by Charles E. Barber in 1891. The figure of Liberty is in right-profile relief with “In God We Trust” inscribed above, the date mark below, and 13 stars around her figure.
The reverse side of 90% Silver Barber Quarters includes the heraldic eagle of the United States. A modified version of the Great Seal of the United States, the design includes the American bald eagle with a shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other.
