The 10 oz Gold Lunar Tiger is available as the largest weight in the series. Australian Gold Lunar Tigers are available alongside weights of 2 oz, 1 oz, and four fractional-ounce options. Those include 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz gold coins. The 10 oz coin, along with all other options except the 1 oz gold coin, has an unlimited mintage. This means only that Perth Mint will continue to strike the 2022 Year of the Tiger design into 2022 until the next design in the series is ready.
Queen Elizabeth II is found on the obverse of 2022 Australian Gold Lunar Tiger Coins. This image comes from Jody Clark and was created initially for the Royal Mint of England in 2015. The design was created as the fifth-generation effigy, but serves as the sixth-generation effigy on Australian coins. It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown.
A powerful adult tiger is depicted in the reverse design of 2022 10 oz Gold Lunar Tiger Coins. This design shows the tiger walking along the edge of a rocky cliff using its massive paws to grip the edge of the rocks. The beast looks back over its powerful, muscular frame to roar and showcase its razor-sharp teeth. This design features on all of the gold bullion coins in the series and the 1 oz platinum coin. This side of the coin also has a micro-engraved security feature in the form of a letter you can only see with the aid of a microscope.
