PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE COINS WILL BE FROM YEARS OF OUR CHOICE, ALL 1907-1933.
The $10 Indian Gold Eagle Coin, which was briefly minted from 1907–1933, would be the last Indian gold eagle coin to ever be struck by the United States Mint. Since its discontinuation, finding one of these collector’s favorites in acceptable condition has become increasingly challenging. Fortunately, coin enthusiasts now have access to newly cleaned $10 Indian Gold Eagle coins with this addition.
Although their individual mint states may vary, great care has been taken to remove every trace of residue or debris from these coins so that they can be appreciated at their fullest potential. Each coin possesses a gold content of approximately .48375 troy oz. As a protective measure, all coins have been packaged in a vinyl case or protective tube to ensure that they stay in their newly cleaned condition.
As the last of the Indian Gold Eagle coins, the $10 Indian Gold Eagle Coin underwent some significant design changes. Instead of portraying the typical Native American in his feathered headdress, the front of the coin depicts Lady Liberty wearing the traditional headpiece. Another change that would affect the coin drastically was the relinquishing of its original “sunken” or recessed design in favor of a raised one.
In spite of the many alterations to the front design, the back design of the coin remained fairly consistent with its predecessors. It still features the American bald eagle perching vigilantly on a pile of arrows laced with an olive branch. The printed text has also stayed the same, with the “In God We Trust” motto displayed on the left of the eagle, and “E Pluribus Unum” to its right.
