American Silver Eagle coins debuted in 1986. The coins are offered in a bullion version in every year. The Congressional act that authorized the coin program mandates the annual striking of the Silver Eagle bullion coins to ensure there are enough of these coveted silver coins to meet the demand of investors.
On the obverse of all American Silver Eagle coins is the image of Walking Liberty. This artwork was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and originally featured on the half-dollar coin from 1916 to 1947. It depicts Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the horizon with her hand outstretched and the American flag draped over her shoulders.
The reverse side of all American Silver Eagle coins in this 34-coin set includes the heraldic eagle of the United States. It features the American bald eagle behind the national shield as it clutches an olive branch of peace in one talon and the arrows of war in the other. The design was first used as early as 1794 on the first-ever US coins, but this design is a modernization developed in 1986 for the Silver Eagles by John Mercanti.
In this listing, Omega Bullion offers the 1986-2019 American Silver Eagle 34-Coin set with one coin from each of the dates issued in the program’s history. The set contains 34 coins in all with 34 Troy ounces of silver and a total face value of $34 (USD).
Further, each of the individual 34 coins in this set earned a Mint State 69 certification from the NGC. Coins in this condition have full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this certification include minuscule contact marks or hairlines only.
